never explain yourself.
your friends won't need it
and your enemies won't believe it.
i don't think i'm ugly, nor do i think i'm pretty;
but i do know i can be pretty, anyone can be!
but i don't want to be pretty.
i want to be beautiful.

my boyfriend tells me i'm beautiful
even at 8am in the morning,
with my hair in a crazy clump,
and my eyes are hardly open.

although it took me quite a while to believe his words,
i do know that every single word is from his heart.

being pretty is temporal.
it is beauty that can be worn and removed.
but being beautiful is a different story.

being beautiful is being you.
it's not necessarily your looks,
but more of your personality.

people love you for who you are and
not for who you try to be;
so love yourself.

you can try to be like that model on vogue's front cover,
and you can try to look like those kawaii japenese girls,
but you're unique, and even if you don't know it,
your friends, family and boyfriend love you for you.

people like bubzbeauty and michelle phan
are out there with their tutorials and all,
to help women gain confidence.

they're not there to say that the world needs prettier people, no!
it's because they know, that with make-up, it makes us feel prettier.
and it makes us more confident!

because when you feel attractive,
you will feel confident.

characteristics like..
kindness, intelligence, confidence and generosity
make a person beautiful.

so learn to do things for good, and not for money.
learn to use your intelligence, and not play dumb and flirty.
learn to love yourself, and not compare to those in magazines.
because you are who you are.
